FORKSTER asks 5 questions to ~ zikay

#1. What was the objective behind naming yourselves ~zikay~?

Answer:i never really named myself zikay,it was a name given to me by my hostel master back in high school n ever since then the name cease to disappear..(laughs)i like the name though

#2. How long have you been in the music industry?

Answer: i have been in the industry for five years officailly

#3. What are ~zikay plans for 2013?

Answer: am still working on my album and i am sure it will soon drop  this year,although its really difficult to be a producer and a singer same time,you know we producers travel alot n its like building a nation

#4. How does it make you feel when you see all your fans singing and “Rocking it out” to your songs when playing live?

Answer: It is so rewarding when you can make people feel any emotion with your music, because that means the music is doing something, contributing somehow to your audience’s state of mind. To be able to bring people happiness and joy, even for just the length of a set, and to know that that experience is something i created for them together, as a artist, is pretty mind-blowing honestly!

#5. Are sites like FORKSTER “Rocks it out” important you feel for unsigned music artists?

Answer: Absolutely. It can be so difficult, even with, and maybe even because of, the multitude of social media outlets we have now to get noticed among the sea of musicians all over the world. There are so many talented bands out there that people never get to hear, and websites like yours are really instrumental in allowing as many people as possible to hear music from brand new, unsigned bands like Bunny Punch that they maybe wouldn’t get to hear otherwise. At least not for a little while anyway!

Answer:
 i have worked with alot of good artist in nigeria, mostly underground artist and famous ones too
